The Visitor Centre is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 - 16:00 (Hot food served till 14.30 and cafe closes at 15:30) and from 10:00 – 17:00 Saturday and Sunday (Hot food served till 15.30 and cafe closes at 16:30)

Craft a nice decoration and hang it outside to tell which way the wind is blowing!

You Will Need

 

  • Coloured card
  • Coloured pens
  • Streamers
  • Scissors
  • String

Step 1:

 

Cut off half an A4 piece of card and use your coloured pens to give your windsock a unique design. This can be anything you like, make it stand out!

Step 2:

 

Flip the card over and tape the streamers along one edge.

Step 3:

 

Tape both ends of a piece of string to the opposite edge to form a handle.

Step 4:

 

Roll the card into a tube and secure with tape. The streamers should be coming out one end and the handle out the other end.

Step 5:

 

That’s your windsock complete. Now you can hang it outside and see what way the wind is blowing.
