Windmills
Craft a windmill with sails that can spin!
You Will Need:
- Toilet roll tube
- Coloured card (2 different colours)
- A drawing pin
- Scissors
- Cello tape (not pictured)
Step 1:
To make the windmill tower; cut out a piece of card the same size as the toilet roll tube. Then wrap the card around the tube and secure with cello tape.
Step 2:
To make the sails of the windmill; cut out a cross from the other piece of card about the same size as the toilet roll tube. (This doesn’t have to be exact)
Step 3:
Use your coloured pens to decorate the windmill. You can draw a door and windows on your tower and a pattern on your sails.
Step 4:
Push the drawing pin through the middle of the sails, then pin the sails to the tower near the top. (Drawing pins are sharp so watch your fingers!)
Complete!
That’s your windmill complete! Try spinning the sails.
Get Creative: Try different designs for your windmill; you could try different patterns or change the shape and number of sails, it’s up to you!
