Safety Measures Introduced

The Visitor Centre is part of the ‘We’re Good to Go’ Scheme, which means we have carried out an official COVID-19 risk assessment to check we have everything in place to reopen safely.

When visiting Whitelee Windfarm please follow the latest Scottish Government advice on physical distancing and meeting people from other households. 

Whitelee Windfarm Visitor Centre café (for take away only) and toilets will reopen to the public from Saturday 3 October (initially for weekends only, 10:00 until 17:00).  New measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all visitors and staff. 

  • Follow the one-way system directed by staff.
  • Face coverings should be worn by visitors over 5 years old.
  • Picnic tables may be used at your own risk.
  • Toilet facilities will be cleaned regularly.
  • An increased cleaning schedule in place to regularly clean touch points.
  • A maximum of one person/family group are permitted in the toilets at any given time.
  • Signage on exercising good hand hygiene is clearly displayed.
  • Visitors are asked to adhere to physical distancing guidelines when queueing outside
