Education Programme at Whitelee Windfarm

At Whitelee Windfarm Visitor Centre we offer an education programme for Primary Two to Secondary 2 (P2 – S2). Linking to the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) our highly interactive activities promote successful learning by challenging pupils and providing enjoyment through their experiences.

Developed by Glasgow Science Centre, the education programme consists of a two hour visit, which includes:

• A main activity / workshop
• A bus tour of the windfarm
• Time in our exhibition area

Visits are suitable for a maximum class size of 34 pupils, and a minimum of 10 pupils (normal adult/carer ratios apply). The cost is £2 per pupil.

Education visits run Monday to Friday in two sessions: 10:00 to 12:00 or 12:30 to 14:30.

You can book an education visit from March 1st until November 23rd (excluding holidays).

There are two available packages:

• Package 1: Wind, Rain or Shine (P2 – P4)
• Package 2: Wind Works (P5 – S2)
