Scottish Power Renewables Whitelee Windfarm visitor centre

If you're bringing your bike to Whitelee we ask that you follow some simple guidelines. 

  • Make sure that you are properly prepared and equipped for your journey as conditions at Whitelee change frequently and often without warning
  • Stay alert and be aware of other users such as horse riders and walkers. Make sure you alert them to your presence and slow down when passing them
  • Please cycle to the conditions of the trails and do not ride faster than it is safe to do so
  • Keep yourself safe and make sure you don’t alarm or endanger others
  • Be aware of natural hazards such as cliffs, loose rocks, tree roots and ice
  • Avoid wet, boggy or soft ground to prevent damage
  • The trails at Whitelee may have some loose surfaces. Please avoid fierce braking to minimise damage
  • When overtaking a horse, make sure they are aware that you are about to do so and make an audible warning if necessary
