Scottish Power Renewables Whitelee Windfarm visitor centre

During the next two years a series of improvements will be made to develop access to the forest and windfarm. This will include the upgrading of the Ardochrig entrance and a number of smaller entrances on all sides of the windfarm.

The network of recreational paths will be expanded through the construction or upgrading of routes to improve public access.  This will include routes from Craigendunton Reservoir in the west, Eaglesham and Dunwan Dam in the north and Cowan’s Law in the southwest.  The development of a surfaced, all weather route between Myres Hill and Overmuir is a priority, forming part of the Weavers’ trail between Eaglesham and Darvel.

Further improvements will be made within the windfarm area where new paths, viewpoints and wet weather shelters will be developed.

We will keep you up to date with all of the developments happening at Whitelee and remember to check our news section for the latest information. Site maps and leaflets will be updated regularly to reflect the addition of new routes and facilities.
