In Scotland there are over 70 operational windfarms with only one of these being offshore. There are also nearly 200 that are either under construction, have been given permission to be built or are in the planning stages.
Throughout the whole of the UK there are over 200 operational windfarms with eight of these being offshore. However, there are also more than 450 windfarms that are currently being constructed, have been granted permission to build or are due to be submitted to planning. That’s potentially a lot of renewable energy!

The earth also has lots of other natural renewable resources that can be used to generate electricity. To help reduce climate change we need to support methods of generating energy that are clean, green and renewable.
